Yes. Just because it's in the dictionary (depending on what dictionary
you're using) doesn't mean it's appropriate. Example (rot13):

Also, nobody has a "right" to post anything to a mailing list. The ability
to use someone else's bandwidth (Ambrosia, in this case) without
compensating them is not a right, it's a privilege. Try to respect it.

I don't need to lighten up. I'm saying that this is a family listserv, and
there's no reason to use any sort of "language" whatsoever. Mature people
can make a point without resorting to profanity.

I have absolutely no problem with profanity. What I have a problem with is
insolent and immature people who don't respect community rules and opinion
regarding its use.
