[delta_v] inconsistencies

Whoa whoa whoa... and whoa.  Let's calm ourselves first.. no need to throw
demi-profanities across the room.. err.. mailing list.  It's just a case of
misinterpretation; no need to start a flame war.

This seems to be a rare occurence of my posting in this list... oh well, as
long as I can help to mediate things and keep 'em pleasant. :)

PS: I'm never this peachy in real life.. it's just one of those days.
