Warning: This is purly a stab in the dark. I'm currently Macless, so I have
no way of testing this out. But, no one else is answering....

Within the shan resource is flag 0x0002 which according to the ENV Bible
denotes that extra frames will be used for (among other things) entering and
exiting hyperspace. You could perhaps create extra frames that showed a
wormhole opening under your ship, the ship shrinking into it, and then the
wormhole closing with a spectacular bang. Upon exiting, reverse the sequence.
This is an exclusive flag though, so you wouldn't be able to have banking ships.
You can explain that away with clever storytelling, though.

I think that I might create an outfit for ships of this type that actually increased
the no-jump zone around a system center (It could be REALLY bad for
humanity if you blew a hole in space time whilst in GEO around earth....)
Seems like a natural for a multijump ship, though. You'd still have to follow
the established hyperlink routes, but at least you wouldn't have to create a
new wormhole at each system.

The one thing I'm not seeing that would make this practical is a flag
to reduce or increase the amount of distance a ship travels while jumping into
hyperspace. If that could be set to zero, the ship should just come to a stop,
spin up it's jump engines, and then appear motionless in the new system.
Anyone know where to find this?

Good luck. BTW, anyone know how to create a stable wormhole that links
to a specified system? Would you just create a spob with flag 0x2000 set with
all 8 of the HyperLink fields set to the id of your destination system?
