[delta_v] LAN gaming with EV

 There are two things similar to what you are speaking of which I recall.
First, exobattle, programmed by the great Burch himself, which was is a
slight 3d space combat engine featuring a pair of mantas. To my knowledge
nothing was ever done with it, and it remained nothing more than a concept
with some code. (There's a build of it somewhere, I'm not sure where.)
 Second, some people on the EVdev board got together (or it may have been
a single person, unsure) and spearheaded "Helian Wars" a program similar
to the space battle game you spoke of. It had a pair of Helians equiped
with lasers which could battle to the death. I think there was multiplayer
support and a computer opponent, I'm unsure whether there was LAN. While
it may still be growing very slowly, I doubt it will be finished any time
soon. Additionally, at some point ASW may drop the ax on the project.

The next update will require the app to be accompanied by "Override
Graphics" and "Override Sounds". It'll just lift the graphics straight out
of the resource forks. It'll also need some ship descriptions, can't
remember either data 1 or data 2.

Once that's done, networking support will be added.
I'm bored so this will get done within weeks.
