Yes. In the game folder, there should be an application named something along 
the lines of 'Register Escape Velocity', 'Register EV Override', or 'Register 
EV Nova' depending, of course, upon which game you want to do it in. Simply 
run that application and you will be guided through the process of removing 
Cap'n Hector from the game.
